Weekly Golf Tip as seen in The Winnipeg Sun --

Improving your swing path the natural way

As a Canadian PGA professional, I have divulged my fair share of golf advice. But, perhaps the best tip I continue to offer many golfers is a simple one.

When addressing the golf ball, try focusing your gaze on the inside right corner of the golf ball, instead of the entire ball. Throughout the years, this tip has helped numerous golfers improve their swing path.

By focusing on the inside right corner of the golf ball, gofers can achieve a shallow swing path and an inside approach, which ultimately reduces a slice and produces a straighter ball flight. A more shallow swing path also allows a golfer to achieve a slight draw and thus increased distance and power.

This straightforward thought can have an even greater impact on a golfers swing than the most expensive teaching aids.

Don't clutter your mind with a bunch of technical thoughts -- focus on the inside corner of the ball and hit it great!  What's on your wish list?
