Golf Canada announced today that Derek Ingram of Winnipeg has been named Head Coach of the Men’s National Amateur Golf Team. A two-time recipient of the PGA of Canada’s Teacher of the Year Award, Ingram has spent the past two years as Women’s Head Coach for Team Canada. Prior to being named Women’s Head Coach at the end of 2009, Ingram served the previous five years as Men’s Assistant Coach for Team Canada. A seven-time winner of the Manitoba PGA Teacher of the Year Award, Ingram has been involved with the Golf Canada’s High Performance Program for the past 11 years...

Earlier this week I was honored to be inducted into the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame. It was very humbling to be recognized alongside of the three other inductees—Gary Kullman, Judi Lidstone and Walter Perchaylo.

Derek Ingram, Team Canada Women’s Head Coach just returned home to Winnipeg from the CN Future Links Pacific in Duncan, B.C., and then the CN Women’s Tour event in Squamish, B.C. Both were excellent events and very well organized.
